Information Communication Technologies (ICT) are clearly powerful capable of serving both men and women and is one of the vital tools for those seeking gender equality povrty reduction and the empowerment of women.
Since the advent of the information technology (IT) revolution, countries that embraced the concept have made significant progress towards poverty reduction and the empowerment of women.
Liberia is one of the countries in the West Africa sub-region that is yet to embrace this information technology revolution due to insatiability.
In an effort to bridge this gap, MOPGEL in 2004 launched a project tiltled - MOPGE-ICT Litercy & Digital Campaign in Ghana at the Buduburam Refugee Camp.
The project is a training of trainers for Liberia. Under the project,two females and one male are selected from each of the fifteen political sub-divisions of Liberia as local volunteers under going training in software, hareware, networking.
